German company Siemens AG has announced plans to invest 2 billion euros (2.2 billion dollars) in expanding its high-tech manufacturing capabilities. As part of this plan, a new factory will be built in Singapore, and the Chinese factory in Chengdu will be expanded.
The company has also announced that additional development plans will be unveiled for Europe and the United States this year, requiring an additional expenditure of 500 million euros.
